One of my favorite Websites (as far as content anyway, not necessarily design or structure) has always been nationalgeographic.com. Here is an interesting article replete with nicely done graphics and audio explaining the steamy (literally) underside of New York City.
I know that I post links to a lot of “A List Apart” articles, but hey… why not? It’s one of my favorite Websites, it’s beautifully designed, and the articles are great. Here is another article on designing Websites free from the constraints of the traditional grid oriented approach.

If you’re into Led Zeppelin, then hopefully you’re aware of the innovative music that bassist John Paul Jones has been creating for the last 15 years or so. His Website is pretty nicely designed and he updates it fairly regularly.
